Football tips: Our trader’s best bets for Bayern Munich v Fortuna Dusseldorf

Looks like there's going to be goals in this one...

Robert Lewandowski Leon Goretzka

Fortuna Dusseldorf face a massive, massive task against Bayern Munich this Saturday evening (5.30pm). I’m a big of a fan of Uwe Rosler and the job he has done since taking over at Fortuna – and the figures back that up.

Before his arrival they had scored fewer than a goal a game in the Bundesliga, netting 18 times in 19 matches. Since he’s taken over, they’ve got 13 in nine. That’s nearly a goal-and-a-half per game. If nothing else, he’s got them firing and if you’re going to get out a relegation battle, which Fortuna are in, you need to be able to score.

I think it’s just a walk for Bayern towards the title now after the win against Borussia Dortmund last Tuesday. It’s very hard to see Fortuna getting anything from this match but they seem to have found their shooting boots under Rosler. So, with that in mind, I’ll tip up both teams to score.

You could get a bigger price with Bayern Munich to win and both teams to score. Bayern let in two last weekend against Frankfurt – so it’s possible that they can switch off – and with Fortuna improving in front of goal recently, I just think both teams to score looks a bet.

In terms of the goal-scorer market, I think there may be some value on the some of the bigger priced options here – especially if Robert Lewandowski doesn’t start. He’s 31 now and he’s taken a lot of knocks in the last couple of games.

They may want to wrap him up in cotton wool ahead of their big game against Bayer Leverkusen next week. There’s also the Champions League on the horizon as well.

Robert Lewandowski

So, if Lewandowski doesn’t start, I like the look of Leon Goretzka to score first. He scored the opener last weekend against Frankfurt. The last five Bundesliga goals scored by Goretzka at home were in games where Bayern went on to win by two goals or more. He has four league goals this season and he looks like a bit of value for me.

And, remember folks, we have a Money Back Special on this one. It’s Money Back as cash on all markets if Thomas Muller scores anytime.
