Football betting tips: Our tasty treble for Saturday’s Bundesliga action

Fussball is back!

We’ve taken a deep dive into the stats for Saturday afternoon’s Bundesliga matches and found a very tasty-looking treble…

Borussia Dortmund vs Schalke: Haaland to Score – 1.73

The home side come into this match with a few injuries so Dortmund will be reliant on wunderkind Erling Haaland to get the goals – not something the young Norwegian is likely to be fazed about. Since arriving at Dortmund he’s scored nine goals in eight league appearances, one in one in the German Cup and two in two in the Champions League.

Prior to the break, Dortmund had been putting teams to the sword in their home Bundesliga matches, scoring 18 goals in their last five at the Westfalenstadion. Schalke’s defence had been quite robust, keeping four clean sheets in the last five on the road, however, the goals usually flow in the Revierderby with only one of the previous five matches not ending with more than 2.5 goals. Haaland should chalk up at least another one for his Bundesliga tally here.

Hoffenheim vs Hertha Berlin: Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals – EVS

The break came at a great time for Hoffenheim, who had been on a run of five matches without a win in the league and took a 0-6 battering from Bayern Munich in their last home match. They face a Hertha side who are pretty good on the road, they’re unbeaten in their last five away, scoring 10 and conceding seven.

Both sides have decent scoring records: Hoffenheim were averaging 1.46 goals per game before the break while Hertha were scoring 1.50 on their travels. Hoffenheim’s defensive woes are obvious though, leaking an average of 2.38 goals per match, while the Berliners were conceding 1.67.

Goals should be on the menu here; Hoffenheim will be desperate to finally get that Bayern thrashing out of their systems, while Hertha will be looking to continue that fine away run. We’re backing Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 goals at Evens.

RB Leipzig vs Freiburg: Timo Werner to Score & Leipzig to Win – 2/1

Up until the break, RB Leipzig had been on a great run at home; six wins, three draws and one loss over their 10 previous Bundesliga matches, with Werner scoring nine times during that impressive streak of form. They can also overtake Dortmund in the table here with a win if they fail to beat rivals Schalke.

Against Freiburg German international Werner has a fantastic record, he’s scored 10 goals in 12 matches so far in his career. Added to the fact Leipzig have won three out of three in their home matches against Freiburg and you can see why we’re backing Werner to Score and Leipzig to win at 2/1.

All of these picks into a Treble will give you odds of just over 9/1.
