Ladies and gents, our team of footie traders have told us they have slashed the odds on Inter Milan being Lionel Messi’s next club, from 50/1 to 5/1. Seriously? Yes, we’re told it’s serious. And that is despite all the ‘fake transfer claims’ by Leo himself in the last 12 hours.
Nobody is quite sure why, but punters have been showing an interest in the previously fanciful transfer. However farcical it might sound, there have been real concerns from fans and Barca Directors in recent months that Messi might not want to renew his contract at Camp Nou, with his current deal expiring in 2021.
And apparently, he has only a one month notice period if he wants to leave. Standard, like any Joe Soap, I suppose.

Even at the reduced odds, though, it still makes the move unlikely, with Man City leading the betting market at 9/4, Juventus next in behind them at 4/1 (Ronaldo and Messi in the same team – my brain couldn’t handle it) and then any Argentinian club priced at 9/2.
I forgot football transfers were even a thing with all these craziness going on. But if Messi is agitating to leave Barcelona – and, let’s face it, this isn’t the first time there have been whispers – Inter are allegedly now in the race. I had to check with the traders three times – thought that were taking the pi*s.
A month ago, it was Inter Miami, now it’s Inter Milan. I think I’d rather Miami, personally. I think I’d fit in well there. Yea, I definitely would.
LIONEL MESSI’S NEXT CLUB
9/4 Man City
4/1 Juventus
9/2 Any Argentinian club
5/1 Inter Milan
15/2 PSG
14/1 Any MLS club
