Paul Pogba ruled out of family game of monopoly due to injury, confirms Raiola

He has taken to social media to reassure his family he’d be back rolling dice as soon as possible.

Paul Pogba has ruled himself out of tonight’s family game of Monopoly after sustaining an injury during last night’s Cluedo, according to the player’s agent Mino Raiola. The 27-year-old had been expected to line-up alongside older brothers Florentin and Mathia for the crunch game night in the Pogba household.

However, it would appear the 3-times KerPlunk champion faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines having dislocated a nostril hair during a boisterous game of Cluedo.

‘It’s true, Paul won’t be available for tonight’s game of Monopoly – or any board game for the foreseeable future’, Raiola told Marca. ‘He was scratching his nose and inadvertently took a nostril hair clean out of its socket’.

‘There are people who will expect Paul to play Monopoly even when he’s not 100% fit. But Paul has to think of his long-term future and put himself first for once’, added the 52-year-old.

The super-agent believes the hectic scheduling of games organised by his client’s family is to blame for the Frenchman’s latest injury. ‘You cannot expect Paul to play a board game every 24-hours’, blasted Raiola.

‘Already this week he’s played Mouse Trap, UNO, Cluedo and a game of Trivial Pursuit – which went on for nearly three-hours’.

‘If things continue at their current pace, it’s inevitable Paul will burn out’, he added.

But the Italian has played down suggestions his client is unhappy with his current family and is seeking adoption. ‘Let’s be clear – because people can be sensitive – right now, Paul is only focusing on playing games with the Pogbas’.

‘You can never say what will happen in the future. At this moment, the only thing that matters is that Paul’s nostril recovers from this horrific injury. Then, after, we can see what is possible. There is always great interest in him. Who wouldn’t want Paul dabbing during their family game night?’.

Meanwhile, Pogba took to social media to reassure his family he’d be back rolling dice as soon as possible.

In a short video posted to Instagram, the former footballer told his family: ‘I’m so sorry I could not be sat with you at the dining table tonight. But I’ll be in the kitchen, cheering you on from the sidelines’.

However, Pogba’s family were said to be furious when the 27-year-old changed his surname on Twitter.
