Sander Berge will make is home debut and look to warm the hearts of Sheffield Untied fans during this winter break. It shows how far they have come it such a short space of time and their intentions as they splashed out a record £22 million for the 21-year-old Norwegian international.
They sit sixth in the division and have been very impressive this season while at the opposite end of the table Bournemouth have a real struggle on their hands.
They face a relegation battle and with a mounting injury crisis, as David Brooks, Joshua King and Charlie Daniels are just a few of the names that have been ruled out of Sunday’s clash.
With Jefferson Lerma also suspended, I can see only see a home win here for Sheffield United.
Their last four in the Premier league have all been to nil to similarly rated teams like Bournemouth. The Blades are 8/11 to win over 90 mins – but if go for them to win to nil – we can shift the odds in our favour.
Selection: Sheffield United to win to nil @ 6/4.
Bournemouth have two midfielders, Jefferson Lerma & Phillip Billing, in the top 10 this season for receiving yellow cards. With the former suspended, we can expect Billing to pick up a cheap yellow this weekend, to add to the seven he already has.
Up against a dynamic midfield trio of Norwood, Fleck and Berge – I’m happy to back Billing @ 15/8 to pick up a card.
Selection: Phillip Billing to be booked at 15/8.
But if we really want to make it a Super Sunday – in the absence of it being a Super Sunday – we need a bigger-priced winner.
So let’s look at #WhatOddsPaddy and the ‘Sheffield United to win and players to be carded’ markets.
These teams lie fourth and fifth in the yellow card table, so I can see plenty of bookings for each side, so for a bit more value let’s go with the #WhatOddsPaddy market of Sheff Utd To Win & 3+ Cards Each Team @ 19/1.
Selection: Sheff Utd To Win & 3+ Cards Each Team @ 19/1.
