Fitba Roundup: Doidgeball at Hibs, soap-dodging at Cowdenbeath

Looks like Jack Ross is the second coming of Patches O'Houlihan

It’s now December which means it’s the season to be jolly, that is of course unless you’re a fan of Hearts, Cowdenbeath or Dundee. For everyone else, it’s the most wonderful time of the year.

One player who is enjoying this time of year more than most is Christian Diodge, who has now scored 6 in 4 since Paul Heckingbottom was sacked. Never have we seen such a clear case of “get it up ye” to a former boss and, let’s be honest, you love to see it.

Doidge is on fire and, after a miserable start to the campaign, the Hibs social team are having the time of their lives:

The man himself has obviously had his confidence boosted as the goals keep flowing too, as he has now decided to branch out his scoring efforts to off the park too. Shoot your shot, lad:

Who wouldn’t want to swipe right at this point?

Alfredo Morelos netted his 25th goal of the season on Saturday as Rangers overcame Hearts 5-0 at Ibrox. It’s a phenomenal goalscoring record and one that we’ll put down to the Colombian actually being two people in one.

It’s the only logical explanation and is outlined flawlessly in the images below.

Warning, once you see it, you won’t be able to unsee it. Ever:

Whilst Morelos and Rangers are happy with how their Sunday panned out, Hearts fans are far from amused. They’re still sat at the foot of the table – and I think by this point they’ll be crying themselves to sleep with a photo of Craig Levein by their bed – but thankfully fans are taking it well:

Never mind, at least your rivals didn’t replace their manager quickly and race up to the top six. Oh, wait…

Down in the Championship, we have Dundee Utd fans delivering an important life lesson: No matter how sh*te your life is, always take a moment to laugh at someone else’s misfortune:

It was scenes of pure delight at Tannadice on Saturday as Queen of the South netted a 93rd-minute winner v Dundee. Maybe after four years in the Championship, they’ve forgotten they have bigger problems and just accepted this to be their level now…

We’re all a fan of a throwback Thursday every now and then, and this one is a historic look back to the pre-social media era. How can you wind up fans without tweeting them or making memes?

Thankfully this footage shows that East Fife fans found the solution. All you have to do is make up a song about them being smelly and sing it on national TV:

Have Cowdenbeath fans managed to shower since this was aired? Who knows.

Lastly, it’s Scottish football’s da joke of the week and it comes from the capital. I almost feel the need to apologise before you’ve even looked at it, but I did laugh so here it is in all its glory:
