United fans flood Twitter to bash Pogba’s Team of the Year selection

The French midfielder has made the PFA’s end of season XI and it’s fair to say, there’s been a few eyebrows raised about at it all.

If you missed the PFA Team of the Year announcement this morning, then you won’t know that the likes of Mohamed Salah and Eden Hazard have missed out on the illustrious XI.

Manchester United’s Paul Pogba did make the list however, and his selection has led to a lot of head scratching – not least from fans of his own club.

The French maestro certainly has a case, having netted 13 times in the Premier League and provided nine assists during the campaign so far. However, many feel that Pogba’s performances have been too inconsistent over the course of the season to justify him receiving the award.

Pogba is the only player outside of title rivals Manchester City and Liverpool to be named in the team and even Manchester United supporters had their doubts when the club announced the news on their Twitter account this morning.

Let’s just say, they haven’t been kind:

Ouch…

It could have been worse though, they could have picked Jesse Lingard!
