Well, that’s just what happened to Paddy last night lads, and like any Tuesday night sesh, he’s feeling the effects today. All 170,000 of them.

Having leapt out to a two-goal lead in the first 20 minutes despite resting their star man – so far, so La Liga – we had to stump up for the Barca payout and thought that would be that.

But the Spanish champions had their advantage halved by Nigerian teenager Samuel Chimerenka before the break and that goal shattered their Catalunyan confidence for the second 45 minutes.

Or that’s the best explanation we can find for Marc-Andre Ter Stegen’s positioning on Villarreal’s equaliser anyway.

Ok, maybe it was meant to be a cross. Still.

Either way, Barca manager Ernesto Valverde must’ve been wondering whether he’d picked the right night to rotate the best player ever – don’t @ me Cronaldo – as that goal sparked a three-goal second-half barrage from the Yellow Submarine. And when Carlos Bacca rounded Ter Stegen in the 80th minute to make push his side 4-2 ahead, it also meant that we’d pay up for anyone who’d backed the Villarreal to win!

But there was nothing to worry about, the game was over, Barca just weren’t at it in the second half, they’d still be seven points clear of Atletico at the top, forget it, move on… And then super-sub Messi decided this nonsense had to stop.

The post is still rattling from the whipped free-kick that made it 4-3 at the start of injury-time.

Sure, there was still hope for us with time against the five-time European champs, but, almost inevitably, Luis Suarez – remember him? – drilled home a daisy-cutter in the 93rd minute after Villarreal failed to clear a corner and we were stung for all three results on the game, the first time ever that’s happened.

You’ll excuse us if we’re not celebrating that little bit of history.
