Celtic v Rangers: This 10/1 Same Game Multi is the one for us in the Old Firm

10 points ahead, 10/1 Same Game Multi? The stars are aligning

Stevie G sings ‘The Ballad of the Last Chance Saloon’ to his Rangers outfit on Sunday. Trailing 10 points to their fiercest rivals, realistically – even if they produce a win – they won’t be putting a stop to Celtic picking up the league title. With that said though, they certainly won’t be going to Celtic Park to lie down and say ‘here you go Bhoys, congrats’. Expect the Gers to go there looking to take heads off and walk away, at least, with theirs held high. It’s going to be fast, furious and feisty. Add Neil Lennon’s reappearance for an Old Firm to the mix and you’ve got the potion for a pure dead brilliant contest.

We’ve perused the markets and gone to the Same Game Multi’s for this 10/1 tipple. Get on!

Both Team to Score @ 17/20

We’re going against the stats on this one for the last few Old Firm games. Why? Mainly because everyone is saying not to back it. However, to add clout to our case, Rangers have nothing to lose here. Gerrard came under fire for his prudent approach in the one-nil defeat the last time they visited Celtic Park. A meagre two shots on target said everything, coupled with the fact that Allan McGregor (and the crossbar) saved them more than eight times if memory serves us right. Plus, Rangers have the league’s top scorer in Alfred Morelos – let’s not forget that. We fancy Celtic to score at home but we think the Gers will nick one and make a game of it so we’re backing both teams to score.

Scott Brown to get booked @ 11/10

Do we need to explain this one? Just take it.

It’s not an Old Firm is Scotty Too Hotty doesn’t completely decimate one Rangers player at least.

He’s been booked in the last three Old Firms and according to our calculations, if you bet €10 on Scott Brown getting booked in every Old Firm he’s played, you’d have €310 in your back pocket. Ok, ok, we made that up but he doesn’t have too many Old Firm’s left in him and it’s a bad game for Scott if he doesn’t pick up at least one yellow. He’s getting booked.

A Red card in the Match @ 9/4

The odds are lower for this than your average matc of course but there’s no denying the hostile atmosphere increases the chances of players’ brains farting mid game and picking up a stupid straight red or second yellow for nothing. Rangers have an outstanding record of red cards already this season (8 in total) and although they’ve tempered their ways more recently, we think there’s always room for one more. Plus, with Scott Brown guaranteed a booking, his chances go through the roof to head for an early exit down the tunnel.
