The fantasy became reality for one very shrewd punter on Saturday afternoon when they landed a whopping return of €2,289 off a €3 bet.

He had to sweat for it though. Several of the games were in the balance as the clocked ticked towards 4.45pm. Leeds and Norwich kept their Premier League promotion ambitions on-track with one-goal wins, though ‘Boro beat QPR comfortably. Sunderland, Morecambe, MK Dons and Eastleigh saw off their League One, Two and National League opponents with relative ease too cruising to 2-0 wins.
Tranmere provided the remaining nailbiter, their 1-0 defeat of Notts County – bottom of the football league – proving much tougher than might’ve been expected.
But these winning eight selection would’ve counted for nothing Charlton and Wimbledon had finished 1-1, as they looked set to do with added-time ticking on.

Igor Vetoleke gets the final touch to after the ball ping-pongs across the face of goal. It was his first goal for Charlton in three years, and could not have been better timed for our fortunate friend, lining up results so his ninefold 762/1 shot paid out and ensure that Saturday night saw the fizzy pop flowing.
