This month, we’re certain that many of you will be glued to the tellybox, lapping up the latest reports, rumours and outright lies from the wild world that is the January transfer window.
So we figured you may as well benefit from those lost hours spent watching a digital timer tick down while a host of gurning presenters desperately try to make a BREAKING story out of Boreham Wood taking Sean Shields on loan from Ebbsfleet United.
And lo, Paddy’s Transfer Win-Dough was born.
The rules are simple. You’re given 11 players, and you just have to predict where they’ll be when this transfer window closes.
You’ll have five clubs they could potentially move to (based on the latest odds from our specials traders), as well as the option to say they’ll stay where they are (“Stay at current club”) or go somewhere else entirely (“Other”).
You can choose “Stay at current club” 11 times if you wish, but bear in mind all the names below are players linked strongly with moves away.
If you finish first, you’ll get a lovely 500 quid free bet, while second-place gets a 250 free bet and third-place a 100 quid free bet.
Note: The game runs from 10am Wednesday 16 January 2019 until 5pm Friday 25 January 2019. If any of the players listed in the game complete a transfer within that time, they will be void and will not count for scoring purposes.
Scoring
- If you nominate the right club for a player, you’ll be awarded 50 points for that player.
- If you correctly nominate “Stay at current club”, you’ll receive 20 points.
- If you correctly nominate “Other”, you’ll receive 20 points.
- The highest cumulative points total is the winner.
- If players are tied for places, a random draw will be made to determine the winner.
