No way Jose! Punters pile on Mourinho’s exit before the year is out

Manchester United boss is now 2/1 to leave the club before we ring in 2019 after Sunday's limp defeat to arch-rivals Liverpool ...

Jose Mourinho is now more likely than ever to leave Manchester United following a dire 3-1 loss at Anfield yesterday according to Paddy Power.

The beleaguered United boss is currently 2/1 – (in from 6/1 before the Liverpool game) – to leave before the year is out.

And it’s even more likely at 6/4 that Jose will be sacked by the end of January, with punters continuing to back Zinedine Zidane (2/1) to replace him, with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino next best at 3/1, followed by Antonio Conte and Laurent Blanc, both at 12/1.

Spokesman Paddy Power said:

He was special once, but it’s becoming clear that the Special One’s time at Man United is almost over.

“Since the Liverpool defeat yesterday, we’ve been inundated with bets on Pochettino or Zidane to inherit his mess, and we’ve also seen continued support on him to be the next Premier League manager to go.

“And as the odds tumble on him being dismissed before the end of 2018, it could be a case of new year, new me for United.”
