Wilfried Moimbe is probably not a name that will be familiar to many reading this.

Unless you’re a big Bordeaux, Brest or Oldham fan, or once signed him on a free on Football Manager, likeliness is this is the first time you’ve heard his name.

But, after seeing this volley from AS Nancy-Lorraine’s Ligue 2 victory over Red Star 93 on Friday evening, you might remember it.

Let’s set the scene. It’s a chilly night in Alsace, and the home team are playing out a fairly staid nil-all draw against the ten-man visiting side from Paris. Things are a bit scrappy, with Nancy supporters no doubt beginning to reminisce about that year when Tony Cascarino banged in 15 goals in a Ligue 1 season.
