And while winter may be coming, the sun was shining for Abramovich’s army as they sealed a sixth league win of the season with two more goals, though it was Hazard’s that mattered most for many of our first goal scorer backers.

He was the most popular winning selection of the weekend with bettors,  prompting a payout of over £20k when he struck half an hour into the game.

Sergio Aguero was the second biggest letdown – and actually had more cash riding on him – but the Liverpool man had more individual bets wagered as Guardiola and Klopp reined in their sides following some frantic affairs in recent seasons.

Liverpool’s talisman will have lowly Huddersfield to look forward to after international break – they’ve conceded 17 in eight league games this season – and will hope to finding his aim against them.
