Who knew DeAndre Yedlin was such a hero?
The Newcastle United right-back lined up for the USA against Brazil in a friendly in New York last night, and drew the attention of CBS Sports writer Roger Gonzalez when, in the 22nd minute, the perpetually horizontal Neymar found himself on the ground yet again.
When the match referee approached Yedlin to have a word about the incident, the American was in jovial mood and appears to have asked the official several times, “Did you watch the World Cup?”
