London punter has Paddy’s pants down for £16k off £10 Saturday acca

A 76th minute equaliser by Swansea's Kyle Naughton leaves Paddy Power shop punter £16k richer in both teams to score winning acca...

Kyle Naughton

It’s the stuff of dreams for Saturday afternoon acca hounds – but the stuff of nightmares for the bean counters at Paddy Power.

After an East London customer saw the first six legs of his ‘Both Teams to Score’ acca click, his heart would have been beating just that little bit faster as Millwall and Swansea took the field on Saturday evening for the seventh and final leg of a Paddy-busting acca.

He was now just two goals and 90 minutes away from clover, having earlier navigated the Championship games of Brentford v Nottingham Forest, Hull v Derby, Sheffield United v Aston Villa as well as League One’s Southend v Charlton, Cheltenham v Colchester plus Oldham v Crawley in League Two.

But his heart-rate, already pounding more than Anthony Joshua’s right fist, wouldn’t have been helped by the Swans’ Courtney Baker-Richardson getting his marching orders after just five minutes.

After a cagey first half ended scoreless, Murray Wallace headed home after 62 minutes for the home side, who should really have parked the bus against their 10-man opponents.

But our man’s apprehension soon turned to unbridled joy as The Swans equalised just 14 minutes later through super-sub Kyle Naughton. That Swansea miraculously then went on to win the game didn’t matter to our diamond geezer – unless he was a Millwall fan.

And even if he was, he still had £16,000 reasons to celebrate.

Well done to you sir!
