We have slashed the odds of Antonio Conte taking over from Jose Mourinho at Manchester United following a flurry of large bets this morning.
With the ex-Chelsea boss – a notorious rival of Mourinho’s – out of a job, he’s now the 5/1 second favourite to take over at Old Trafford, in from 14/1.
He is rated more likely than Mauricio Pochettino (6/1), Carlo Ancelotti (14/1), and Ryan Giggs (14/1), who have all previously been linked with the job.
Zinedine Zidane is the 2/1 favourite for the role, despite reports suggesting the club are not considering him as a replacement.
Asked about the Conte price cut spokesman Paddy Power said: “We’ve been inundated with bets on Antonio Conte to Man United all day, and have been forced to butcher the odds on him taking over from his arch-nemesis.
“We’re sure that he’d love the opportunity to show Jose up, plus, it’s gotta be better than sitting around in your pants all day and watching Jeremy Kyle.”
