On Saturday, Liverpool and Real Madrid go head to head in the 2018 Champions League final. It will be the first time the two sides have met in the final of Europe’s biggest competition since 1981, when it was known as the European Cup.
That time around, a goal from left-back Alan Kennedy was enough to hand the Reds their third European Cup – 37 years later, victory in Kiev against Zinedine Zidane’s Real will give them their sixth.
In that period, just nine players have made the switch between Madrid and Merseyside, or vice versa.
How many of them can you remember?
Note: Loan deals included. Must have played at least one domestic league game for both clubs.
