Anyway, in case you missed it the latest controversy came last night when Fiorentina hosted Juventus at the Artemio Franchi Stadium. At 0-0 on the 18th minute, Fiorentina were awarded a peno after a cross from Gil Dias was handled by Giorgio Chiellini. The former Villa man, Jordan Veretout, stepped up, waiting for the whistle from the ref, Marco Guida, to take it. And he had a fair bit of a wait alright – as the Juve lads pestered the shit out of Guida to use VAR.
He subsequently did, and proceeded to award Juve a free out for offside against Dias. Not only was all this waiting around a shambles in itself, but the daft officials got the decision wrong, as it appeared Juve left back, Sandro, had gifted the ball to Dias.

Just give up now lads. I mean, poor Jordan Veretout. The lad manages to get the f*ck out of Villa and has the biggest moment in his career.
Anyway, it was a bad night all round for Fiorentina fans. Juve took the three points with a 0-2 win, going to the top of Serie A. And it was former home hero, Federico Bernardeschi who bagged the opener. Who shouted fix??
