The odds of Gareth Bale joining Manchester United this summer have been slashed in half, after it was reported that Real Madrid will be forced to sell first team stars to raise funds.
It comes after the Spanish giants lost a sponsorship deal, believed to be worth more than £350million.
As a result, Paddy Power have cut the odds of Bale arriving at Old Trafford from 10/1 to 5/1.
While a return for United legend Cristiano Ronaldo is now rated at 10/1, having previously been priced 16/1.
The chances of David de Gea forming part of a deal now look much more unlikely. He has gone from 6/1 to 25/1 to make the switch to sunnier shores.
Elsewhere, Madrid’s rumoured willingness to spend £200million on Harry Kane seems certain to change – that transfer is 10/1, out from 5/1.
Asked about all the moves spokesman Paddy Power said: “Roll up, roll up. Now’s your chance to get a discounted Real Madrid star.
“With a mega-money naming rights deal falling through for their stadium, it looks as though there’ll be plenty of big name players in the shop window for the Premier League to snatch up.”
5/1 Gareth Bale to join Manchester United
10/1 Cristiano Ronaldo to join Manchester United
10/1 Harry Kane to join Real Madrid
25/1 David De Gea to join Real Madrid
