Thousands staked on Daniel Sturridge to join Inter Milan in the last few hours

Paddy Power have slashed Daniel Sturridge’s odds of going to Inter Milan this window after taking thousands on the move in the last few hours.

He is now odds-on at 1/14 to make the move, having originally been priced at 10/1 to join the Italian side.

The Reds striker has made just nine Premier League appearances this year, scoring twice in the league as well as one in the Champions League and is now out to 10/3 to stay at Anfield.

Sturridge is now 5/2 to make England’s World Cup squad, and 7/4 to find the net on his Serie A debut.

Asked about a rumoured move to Italy spokesman Paddy Power said: “Sturridge – remember him? He’s been bench warming at Liverpool, but it seems like he’s off to sunnier climes.

“Our traders have taken thousands on him making the move in the last few hours, which is looking like a loan deal.”
