With Sanchez rumoured to have reached an agreement with Manchester United, Paddy Power have slashed his odds of taking the number seven shirt to 1/10.
The iconic shirt has been worn by George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo and, erm, Michael Owen.
The number has been left vacant at Old Trafford since Angel Di Maria’s departure in 2015.
His odds to join the Red Devils this window are now at a lowest-yet of 4/11, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan rumoured to be a part of the deal.
Asked about Sanchez’s shirt number plans spokesman Paddy Power said: “There’s a big ol’ shirt to fill at Old Trafford and it looks like Jose Mourinho is trying to tempt Sanchez into taking it.
“Well, anyone can do better than Di Maria, surely?”
1/10 To take the number seven shirt at Manchester United
2/7 To join Man United this transfer window
5/1 To join Chelsea this transfer window
11/2 To stay at Arsenal this transfer window
