Chelsea to win to nil – 7/2
A 3-0 home success over Chelsea early last season must have finally seemed like a chink of light in a long dark tunnel for Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners recent record in the Premier League against their cross-town rivals is frankly horrible, outside of that victory at the Emirates. That was Arsenal’s only success in their last 11 league meetings with The Blues, Chelsea for their part have scored a magnificent seven wins in that time frame.
A lot of Arsenal struggles in this fixture boil down to the fact they’re about as shot shy as Shane Long lately when they stare across the pitch at Chelsea and in seven of their last nine contests Wenger’s men failed to even find the net.
Antonio Conte leads his men into a happy North London hunting ground tonight and given the stats, we reckon the 7/2 punt on Chelsea to win to nil is a cracking gamble.
Álvaro Morata to score first – 4/1
The silky Spaniard is already into double figures in the Premier League this season, netting 10 times already.
Morata has made the move from Madrid to London look seamless since he arrived in July and now is the time for him to kick on if he wants to be considered as a man to be feared in England.
Of those 10 strikes Morata has to his name, half of those have been opening goals and he looks to have a canny habit of being the first on the scoresheet for The Blues.
You heard it here first, if he picks off the 4/1 wager later tonight.
A red card in the match – 16/5
Discipline doesn’t look to be a strong suit for either side when this contest rolls around.
Unbelievably, there’s been six flashes of red in their last seven meetings and Chelsea have seen a man sent off in each of the last three derbies the two have played out.
Both managers will be keen for the players to stay away from referee Anthony Taylor’s attentions, but something tells us he could be reaching for a red again tonight to net a 16/5 bet for out punters later.
