Arsenal v West Ham: Danny Welbeck to score anytime – Evens
After costing The Gunners £16m back in 2014, things haven’t worked out how Danny Welbeck would have wanted since his move to the capital.
The former Man United striker has had about as much luck with injuries as Theresa May when it comes to votes and has found himself very much in the impact sub role for Arsene Wenger’s side this season.
However, he should get his chance to impress tonight as West Ham make the short trip to North London to provide the opposition and Arsenal will know better than most that The Hammers, under David Moyes, are no pushovers after drawing 0-0 at the London Stadium less than a week ago.
Welbeck though, has found the net against West Ham a couple of times in his career and knows tonight could be a key if he is to force his way into Wenger’s plans for a busy Christmas period. So, don’t be surprised to see him make a statement later by scoring anytime at Evens.
Leicester v Man City: Islam Slimani to score anytime – 7/2
Remember Islam Slimani? He once cost then Premier League champions Leicester a reported £28m fee in 2016, but now finds himself linked to the likes of Newcastle and West Brom after only managing a bit-part role this campaign.
You may be shocked to find out though that he’s actually the top scorer in this competition so far, with four goals to his name.
With Man City rocking up at the King Power Stadium tonight, you can only see one outcome in terms of the overall result as Pep Guardiola’s men continue to swat away all in front of them. To make matters worse for The Foxes they’ve also lost every League Cup tie they’ve ever contested with The Citizens.
However, one has a sneaking suspicion that Slimani will grab the shop window afforded to him later and score an anytime goal against a much-changed City at 7/2.
