Premier League: Double down on this 4/1 shot for Wednesday’s games

Make the most of a hectic mid-week in England’s top tier with our punchy punt…

Arsenal v Huddersfield: Arsenal (-1.0) – 8/15

The Terriers head to London tonight having more than lived up to their nickname so far this season and they’ve even made a nice habit of biting at the trouser legs of the Premier League big boys – just ask both Manchester sides.

David Wagner’s men have found points away from the John Smith’s Stadium hard to come by though since their opening day victory at Crystal Palace, scoring just a single one at Burnley after that.

What will worry Wagner more than The Terriers lack of away points is the fact that they’ve been utterly toothless in front of goals since that Palace game as well. In fact, they haven’t netted away from home at all since then and that has us heavily fancying an Arsenal win at 2/9.

Despite what Troy Deeney may feel, Arsenal showed plenty of cojones to score a late victory at Turf Moor and welcome Huddersfield to an Emirates Stadium that’s witnessed 11 home victories in-a-row in the Premier League.

We reckon the true value lies with The Gunners (-1.0) at 8/15 later as they’ve beaten that handicap in four of their last five, while Huddersfield have failed to cover it in their last three on the spin.

Bournemouth v Burnley : Draw – 23/10

After losing their first four Premier League outings this campaign you’d be forgiven for going off The Cherries’ survival hopes, but Eddie Howe’s men have finally figured out how to pick off points and have now pulled themselves four points above the drop zone.

They face off with a Burnley side this evening who seem absolutely determined to rip up the form book and bust every coupon going this season. Wins at Stamford Bridge, Goodison Park and St Mary’s have been added to points at Anfield and Wembley as only the unstoppable Manchester City have beaten The Clarets away from home this season.

When you read that, is it any wonder Sean Dyche has been linked with every job going in the Premier League this season? So, tonight’s game could accurately be described as a contest between English football’s two brightest young managers.

Who will come out on top though? Well, that’s the question you’re here to have answered. The stats suggest that there’s not much separating this pair over the previous few seasons and in their last four meetings they’ve shared a win (by the odd goal apiece) as well as a couple of draws.

That has us tipping our cap towards a 23/10 stalemate tonight and we believe that both managers might just settle for that if it was offer to them now.
