Watch: Elated Sweden squad absolutely destroy pitch side TV set-up

The poor guys from Eurosport only saw them coming at the last second…

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll have heard the news that four-time World Cup winners Italy have stunningly failed to qualify for next summer’s tournament in Russia.

Sweden rocked the football world last night by clinging with all their might to a 1-0 first leg advantage and kept the Azzurri scoreless in Milan to advance to the final 32.

Having failed to get out of the group stages at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups many will say the writing was on the wall for this Italian outfit. However, given the fact it will be their first time missing the world’s biggest football competition since 1958, you can see why the loss has got the world talking this morning.

Such was the delight of the Swedes they didn’t seem to know what to do with themselves at the final whistle, but when they did get organised it was bad news for Eurosport’s coverage on the sideline at the San Siro.

That’s because almost the entire squad rush the host and her analysts, leaping on them in joy while wrecking their set in the process. Keep an eye out for the antics of Celtic’s Mikael Lustig as well as attempts from a poor TV technician to rescue the table – watch it for yourself below:
