As if things couldn’t get any worse for Everton fans at the moment, now they have to travel to France to watch their side meet a Lyon outfit who’ve rediscovered their form in a big way.
Lyon head into the contest on the back of a four-match winning run and have scored seven goals without reply in their two Ligue 1 games since they won the battle of Goodison Park two weeks ago.
The Toffees’ defensive woes have been well documented this season – they’ve lost four in-a-row and they haven’t even mustered a clean sheet since the 20th of September.
