This 10/1 treble on the UK sides could make CL Wednesday wonderful

We've made our picks for a nice little treble on the English and Scottish teams in action...

Another night of top Champions League beckons, with several excellent fixtures on the cards.

The pick of the bunch is perhaps Antonio Conte’s return to Italy as Chelsea take on Roma, but you’d be forgiven for being more interested in some of the others.

Either way, it’s time for us to get our treble on, and we think we’ve lined up a pretty decent trio of selections.

Celtic (+3) against Bayern Munich – Evens

Ok, so it could be suggested that considering backing anything to do with Celtic away at Bayern is a risk, but at a handicap of (+3), things look a little different.

You’re allowing for Celtic losing by two clear goals, but also taking into account the fact that the Germans have been poor so far this season, and might find it hard going against Brendan’s Bhoys.

Famously, Celtic raise their game for these big European nights, and it wouldn’t be a massive shock if they held out for a draw. Still, you’re in business if the Scottish side keep the scoreline within two goals.

Benfica and Man Utd to Draw – 13/5

Jose Mourinho doesn’t like to take risks, as was proven by United’s rather craven display at Anfield last weekend, and it would be no surprise to see the Red Devils pitch up in Lisbon with a negative approach.

Benfica are no mugs, but probably don’t have enough to topple Jose’s men. A draw would not be out of the question here, and at 13/5, it’s worth considering.

Chelsea to beat Roma – 8/13

Roma are a decent side, but it’s not outrageous to think that Chelsea will win this one fairly comfortably. Despite the hiccup at Crystal Palace last weekend, the Blues should emerge victorious, and 8/13 seems a generous price on them doing so.
