Three best bets to keep you awake during tonight’s Premier League bore-off

This should be a bloody thriller!

Who doesn’t love the smell of a nice puntfest between 11th-place and 18th-place on a damp Monday night?

Pretty much everyone, actually. Nevertheless, Leicester v West Brom is happening, which means that we’re offering odds on it.

And quite a number of them, at that. So, in order to make things easier for you on what couldn’t possibly be anything other than a thrilling evening of ‘Best League in the World’ football, here are our three best bets for the game.

Correct Score 0-0 – 8/1

Ok, so I know I just wrote that this will be a thriller, but that statement may have been tinged with a little sarcasm.

Because this match could well end up being an utterly stultifying bore-off between two sides who don’t exactly purvey a brand of exhilarating, attacking football.

So far this season, Manchester City have scored 29 goals – between them, Leicester and West Brom have 15. If there’s a game that ever had 0-0 written all over it, it’s this one.

James McClean to be sent off – 14/1

It’s no secret that the deadly Derryman loves a scything challenge about as much as Cristiano Ronaldo loves, well, himself.

This day last week against Wales in Cardiff, McClean was inspirationally reckless for Ireland, shoving and crunching the Boys in Green into yet another World Cup playoff, and he may well aim to replicate his ‘robust’ performance tonight.

Tony Pulis is not a man who encourages his players to shirk physical confrontation, and Leicester are no shrinking violets themselves, so this may turn into a feisty affair.

It’s not unreasonable to expect McClean to be at the heart of it, so backing him to get his marching orders at 14/1 is perhaps a decent shout.

Each Team to Have 2 or more Corners in each half – 12/5

According to the stats, this fixture produces 9.8 corners per match.

As a result, Over 10 Corners (10/11) or Exactly 10 Corners (11/2) are worth consideration, but the selected market allows for a little more leeway in terms of the total amount of corners awarded.

To get a winner, you just need both teams to win two or more corners in each half. Seems like a reasonable thing to ask of them, and you don’t have to worry about the Over/Under total.
