Three best bets to keep you awake during tonight’s Premier League bore-off

Who doesn’t love the smell of a nice puntfest between 11^th-place and 18^th-place on a damp Monday night?

Because this match could well end up being an utterly stultifying bore-off between two sides who don’t exactly purvey a brand of exhilarating, attacking football.

So far this season, Manchester City have scored 29 goals – between them, Leicester and West Brom have 15. If there’s a game that ever had 0-0 written all over it, it’s this one.

James McClean to be sent off – 14/1

It’s no secret that the deadly Derryman loves a scything challenge about as much as Cristiano Ronaldo loves, well, himself.

This day last week against Wales in Cardiff, McClean was inspirationally reckless for Ireland, shoving and crunching the Boys in Green into yet another World Cup playoff, and he may well aim to replicate his ‘robust’ performance tonight.

Tony Pulis is not a man who encourages his players to shirk physical confrontation, and Leicester are no shrinking violets themselves, so this may turn into a feisty affair.

It’s not unreasonable to expect McClean to be at the heart of it, so backing him to get his marching orders at 14/1 is perhaps a decent shout.

According to the stats, this fixture produces 9.8 corners per match.
