England to beat Slovenia – 1/3
We know this call is probably safer than Joe Hart’s goalkeeping (isn’t everything?), but with the wizard that is Harry Kane now captain you really can’t see the Three Lions losing this game. Even if it is England we’re talking about.
Gareth Southgate’s men have only dropped four points from a possible 24 to date in Group F and have never lost to Slovenia in their entire history, so they’ve also got that on their side.
As for their new leader, Kane is 23/10 to mark his special occasion by netting the opener and after netting 13 goals in just eight games, is there anyone out there that can stop him?
Scotland to score victory against Slovakia – 7/5
Gordon Strachan looks on the verge of preforming a miracle turnaround with Scotland after grabbing 10 points in their last four fixtures.
That’s in sharp contrast to their opening to the campaign, where they looked dead and buried sitting on just four points from four. With England away over the horizon at the top of Group F, The Tartan Army have been left to battle it out with Slovenia and Slovakia for a World Cup Play-Off spot.
The calls for Strachan’s job may have faded, but three points are essential on Thursday if they’re to keep the comeback train on the tracks and they look to be in the right place to do just that.
Montenegro to land a win v Denmark – 12/5
Why Montenegro you say? Why not we say! The Balkan county has won three of their four at home this campaign and look in prime position to land an unlikely play-off spot in Group E.
Standing in their way is Denmark, who themselves are on a five-game unbeaten run, and they know all about the challenge facing them in Podgorica as Montenegro have already taken their scalp in Copenhagen last October.
If you’re looking for some value in your Thursday punts then look no further than this one and for a little added value, why not leap on former Man City striker Stevan Jovetic to net the first goal at 5/1.
