Top Five #WhatOddsPaddy bets of the weekend

We picked out the best of the bunch of our requested bets...

What Odds Paddy

Every week, we let the punter choose the bets by tweeting us odds requests using the hashtag #WhatOddsPaddy.

Our traders price some up, and then customers can place money on them. Basically, we (try to) price up bets from your wildest dreams. And here are the greatest winners of the weekend.

Juan Mata to score 1st; United to score 3+ goals and over 10.5 corners – 25/1

These style of bets, with lots of goals, corners and other variables are popular with our #WhatOddsPaddy backers. And, to be fair, at 25/1 to, you can certainly understand why.

It was a good bit of luck to see Juan Mata open the scoring, considering he ended a run of 809 minutes without a Premier League goal. Plenty of people were backing Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford. Of course they were, but to back the Little Juan was good going.

Gary Hooper to score a header – 25/1

Sheffield Wednesday brushed aside their Yorkshire rivals like a leftover crumb on the sleeve of your favourite jumper. Leeds were made a show of, losing 3-0, with Gary Hooper grabbing a brace within 41 minutes.

He’s now netted in four consecutive league games for the first time since February 2008. Not only that, but he also made this #WOP bet land like a dream. Go on, Gary.

Gary Hooper to score 1st; Sheff Wednesday to score 3+ goals & over 10.5 corners – 50/1

In a similar vein to the above, Hooper is a belter and with Wednesday making it look easy against Leeds, this one came in at a lovely price.

Aston Villa to win 14+ league points in September – 11/1

Okay, so this one wasn’t specific to the weekend, but Villa’s 1-0 win over a shocking Bolton at the weekend saw them earn their 14th league point of September.

No doubt, this punter was sat on his sofa celebrating the fact he’d just mugged off Paddy and landed a 11/1 shot. Nice work.

Tottenham, Man City, Man United and Arsenal all to win to nil – 40/1

So this one is definitely our favourite of the week – what a bet!

To kick off the weekend, Tottenham coasted to a 4-0 win over Huddersfield. City beat Chelsea 1-0, making the champions look like a group of schoolboys and Kevin de Bruyne bagging a beauty of a goal. Their neighbours won 4-0 (again) against Crystal Palace, then Arsenal beat Brighton 2-0 on Sunday.

A great bet, it has to be said.
