Gary Neville’s rage was the best thing about Liverpool v Arsenal

The Reds stuffed Arsene Wenger’s 4-0 at Anfield and the Sky pundit let them have it…

Comments

Let’s face it, Liverpool’s 4-0 victory over Arsenal was about as one sided as a Donald Trump Twitter conversation and Gary Neville didn’t waste any time giving the Gunners both barrels.

Arsene Wenger’s side were spanked in both halves and the former Manchester United legend struggled to contain his anger at the performance he witnessed from The Gunners.

The Sky pundit didn’t spare the feelings of the Arsenal squad either, labelling them “pathetic” and felt they were utterly deserving of the “battering” they received at the hands of Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Here’s Neville’s damning assessment in quotes:

“I’m not a Liverpool fan, but this Arsenal team deserve a battering. They really do.”

“I’ve just seen him (Xhaka) try to back-heel it to his keeper inside his own six-yard box. Try and find words for that, I can’t believe what I’m seeing.”

“I’d stick them all up on the transfer list.”

“Some of these Arsenal players want to leave. Who’s going to buy them? I hope the scouts ain’t here.”

“I’m absolutely fuming watching this. It’s ridiculous some of the things you see them do on a football pitch.”

“The general attitude or lack of respect for the shirt from three or four of them in not running back and not bothering is disgraceful.”

It seems like those watching we’re loving Neville outrage at the Gunners too:

Arsene Wenger can still be found at 14/1 in the Sack Race, just saying…
