The ongoing saga in which he has embroiled himself with Antonio Conte now looks likely to roll on until the striker finally gets his way and forces a move. The duo have fallen in and out of love as rapidly as a gap-year student on a two-week bag-and-shag in Marbella and, a bit like gonorrhea, this conflict isn’t going to clear up easily.
Recently, the Brazilian striker made the poormouth complaint that he was ‘being treated like a criminal’, but when his manager was asked whether he thought this was the case, the reaction was priceless.
