Hotshot Jackpot: How the Little Pea and Dele Alli can help you bag £275,000 this weekend

The pot has risen to £275,000 and you can win it for free this weekend

The Premier League hit us with the force of a Jonjo Shelvey stamp last weekend, and did plenty to whet our appetite. With no Hotshot Jackpot players managing to correctly predict six first goalscorers – no easy feat when Sam Vokes finds the net first against Chelsea – there’s an extra £25,000 to play for in this week’s competition.

That means the pot stands at a whopping £275,000, and you can enter for free by clicking right here.

Southampton v West Ham: Javier Hernandez

Okay, so his return to Manchester didn’t go exactly as planned… But aside from the token offside attempt, the Little Pea’s return to England didn’t look too treacherous. Or, at least he couldn’t be blamed for his side’s dreadful performance. The fact is, he’s got an engine which never seems to run out and with Southampton bringing us the only goalless result last week, we’re hoping he can stick one in the net this time out.

Liverpool v Crystal Palace: Sadio Mane

Ah, another team who had a pretty shaky start to the new season. Liverpool. That being said, there was certainly no shortage of goals, having netted three goals against Watford in 57 minutes. Mane found the net first, just before the half hour mark, and much like last season showed what a classy player he is. And with five goals in his past seven Premier League appearances, he seems like the obvious choice here for me.

Stoke v Arsenal: Olivier Giroud

The Gunners kicked off the season in chaotic style last Friday night, and while we’re not sure whether Arsenal Fan TV could take a repeat of that, we do think Wenger’s side can stick a couple of goals past a Stoke side who lost their opener. Arsenal have won four of their last five league games against the Potters, and with Olivier Giroud scoring the winner last time out we’re hoping he might even get a chance to start here.

If not, you can’t go far wrong with Alexandre Lacazette or Welbz, who both found the net last weekend too.

Huddersfield v Newcastle: Steve Mounie

In terms of entries to the Premier League, Steve Mounie did so confidently last weekend, netting a brace in Huddersfield’s opener against Crystal Palace. Now, they face Newcastle this weekend, a side which the history books do not necessarily look down on them favorably for. In fact, they’ve won just one of their last 11 meetings against the Toon in all competitions. But with last week’s carnage against Tottenham, including Jonjo Shelvey’s moment of madness, we think Mounie can continue his favourable entrance into England’s top division.

Tottenham v Chelsea: Dele Alli

It’s time for the first ever Premier League game at Wembley this weekend, and with the aftertaste of a loss to Burnley still in Chelsea fans’ mouths, it’s safe to say we’re pretty excited about this one. Yep, The Blues certainly have the upperhand in terms of the stats here, having lost only two of their last 17 games in all competitions against Spurs.

That being said, with Conte’s side potentially lacking Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard, Pedo, Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and new signing Tiémoué Bakayoko, it’s as good a chance as any for Pochettino to get three points. Dele Alli has netted 51 goals under the age of 22, and we’re backing him to get the game off to a flier here.

Manchester City v Everton: Sergio Aguero

Manchester City are unbeaten in six Premier League home matches against Everton, winning three and drawing three, and with Sergio Aguero announcing his arrival with a goal last week, we think he’ll be first on the scoresheet in Monday Night Football. Also, a cool fact is that if he nets one more goal he will become the all-time highest ever non-European goalscorer in the EPL’s history. So that’s nice.
