95th minute strike nets Dublin punter over €41,000 on 19 team acca

Paddy Power was left reeling this morning after a South Dublin customer hit us for €41,081 after landing a 19-team accumulator.

The online customer in his 20s, who wishes to remain anonymous, placed the daring €50 accumulator across a number of different competitions including the European Super Cup, The English Championship and the Norwegian Eliteserien.

It wasn’t all plain sailing for the clued in punter who was made sweat for one result in particular.

Morcambe and his selection Barnsley were locked at 3-3 deep into injury time only for a late winner from Ryan Hedges in the 95th minute to keep the dream alive.

The windfall was landed last night when Sunderland rounded off the 19th leg by scraping past Bury 1-0 in the Carabao Cup.

Asked about the punt spokesperson Paddy Power said: “I don’t use the term often, but this is weapons grade punting.

“At this early stage of the season there’s little or no form to read into so to land a 19-team accumulator is genuinely remarkable. He may have cleaned us out, but we hope that he enjoys his winnings and we’re only too happy to pay for the celebrations.”
