This 17/2 shot could make you care about the Community Shield

Here's how we see things unfolding...

Let’s be honest. Not many people care too much about the pre-season pseudo-trophy that is the Community Shield, but it often serves as a nice prelude to the serious business of the Premier League campaign.

This year, London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea will battle it out for the coveted silver plate, and it seems likely to be a tight game.

At 6/5, the Premier League champions are slight favourites ahead of the Gunners to win in 90 minutes, and are odds-on at 8/13 to lift the trophy.

With the arrivals of Alexandre Lacazette and Alvaro Morata, both sides have added a big-name forward to their ranks, but may approach the game with caution.

Each team will of course want to hit the ground running, but their respective managers may prioritise defensive solidity in order to avoid kicking off the season by shipping a handful of goals.

Conte has proven himself a master at beating discipline into his backline, while Wenger’s recent sides have occasionally found it tough to break down quality opposition.

As a result, goals could well be at a premium, and we foresee a low-scoring encounter.

With that in mind, neither team to score in 90 minutes (Under 0.5 goals) looks a decent value option at 17/2.
