9 Paddy Power customers rejoice as they share £250,000 Hotshot Jackpot prize

Cesc Fabregas and Michy Batshuayi did the business for our players on Monday Night Football

Nine Paddy Power punters won’t be feeling the ‘Blues’ this morning, after two Chelsea players landed them a share of our £250,000 Hotshot Jackpot.

It’s the sixth time this season our Hotshot Jackpot prize has been claimed, as our nifty nine correctly predicted eight anytime goal scorers over the Premier League weekend. We’re nearly as generous as Donald Trump is with sharing information with the Russians … apparently!

Yesterday, we told you a whopping 160 players had made it into our final round and were waiting on goals from six different players during Chelsea v Watford to net a share of the lot.

With the crazy game ending 4-3 last night you’d think that the majority of our HSJP players would have landed some of the prize, however only nine correctly predicted strikes from Cesc Fabregas and Michy Batshuayi and they’ve now landed themselves a little over £27,000 each.

Not bad for a free to enter competition eh?

Diego Costa continued his bastard ways by not making it off the bench ‘cost-ing’ 92 players a chance at the cash. He was probably too busy spanking the rest of the squad anyway!

However, he’s not as big a villain as Eden Hazard. The Belgian superstar, who played the entire 90 minutes, had the hopes of 43 punters riding on his shoulders and couldn’t do the business despite having a couple of good chances to grab them a share – damn title hangovers!

Our nine winners not only hail from both sides of the Irish Sea, but the middle of it too! It breaks down as follows: Five from England, two calling Ireland home, another from Northern Ireland and a final winner on the Isle of Man.

Amazingly, all of our victories wouldn’t have been here in the first place had Bournemouth’s Josh King not scored with five minutes to go against Burnley to seal a 2-1 win over Burnley, as they all had him in their selections.

But a big round of applause has to go to one of our winners from Peterborough for predicting Wayne Rooney would pick up a goal in Tottenham’s final game at White Hart Lane. It turned out to be a great shout as the England striker netted a consolation for United and our punter was among only 1.4% of our players who went with ‘Wazza’ in his selections for that game.

Enjoy the winnings guys and Hotshot Jackpot is now open for the weekend’s final round of Premier League games. You can enter right here!
