Be doubly delighted thanks to our 5/1 punt on Saturday’s live TV action

Hide the remote down the back of the couch and settle in for a day of footie on the box

Ah festive footie, it really is the most wonderful time of the year if you’re a fan of English football.

You know that feeling you get after Christmas dinner and you’re already looking forward to the turkey sandwiches?

Well we can’t wait to be stuffed with the amount of football that’s on offer over the next few weeks and this weekend is the perfect starter to upcoming main course.

So if you’re feeling peckish for a punt, we’ve had a look at Saturday’s live action and discovered a double that could deliver at 5/1 to hit the sweet spot. Here’s who we’ve tipped up…

All the best Football punts are on PP.com

Watford v Everton, Sky Sports 1, 12.30

Saturday’s early kick-off features two sides who seem about as shy as turkeys at Christmas when it comes to grabbing a win at the moment.

Watford, who’ve lost two on the spin, play host to an Everton side on the back of four games without a victory themselves. Both seem in a real flap (sorry)…

Anyway! To be fair to the Toffees they did force a late share of the spoils at home to Man United last time out – but then again, doesn’t everyone draws with Man United these days?

The Hornets for their part have won three out of their last five at home and that will send alarm bells ringing for Ronald Koeman – especially we you add in that his outfit hasn’t tasted an away Premier League success in almost three months.

Jump on the slightly crazy 2/1 our traders are offering on Watford, after it all it is the season of giving!

Leicester v Manchester City, BT Sport 1, 5.30pm

By the looks of it champions Leicester used up all their Christmas wishes in last season’s astounding run the Premier League title – because to be quite frank this season has been utterly sh**e so far. Unfortunately, there really isn’t a better word to describe it.

Moving their excellent run in an easy Champions League group to the side for a second, the Foxes find themselves in 16th position dangling just two pints from the bottom three. They’re really in danger of being the worst champions in history.

To make matters even worse, they are playing an angry Manchester City outfit who’re in a pissy mood fresh from defeat in an absolute battle with Chelsea last week.

City have won three of their last four and will be looking to reheat the oven on their title ambitions, even if they are without the suspended Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho.

We are closing our double with the away side raiding the champions’ foxhole of three points at 7/10.
