Champions League: This 35/1 acca could make for a magical mid-week

Tuesday could be terrific with this punt on tonight's Champions League action

Man City v Celtic

Celtic are heading over to the Etihad for what will be their last game in Europe this season, the golden pastures of the Europa league are beyond them so they only have pride and a bit of prize money to play for. Brendan Rodgers picked up his first trophy as Celtic manager last month and things have been going well in the league. The same cannot be said of Pep and his Man City team, a damaging result against Chelsea at the weekend means they have only won two of the last 5 games. However, we are expecting City 4/11 to come out fighting and sign off with a win tonight.

FC Basel v Arsenal

Familiar feeling for Arsenal fans this. Top spot in Group A is out of their hands and the best they can do is win and hope for the best. Considering how much is at stake for Wenger’s team tonight you would expect them to blitz the Swiss in Basel. Alexis Sanchez was irresistible against West Ham on Saturday and if Arsenal can recreate that form this evening they look a ridiculous price at 23/20.

Bayern Munich v Atletico Madrid

Only the football connoisseurs will be tuning into to BT Sport Extra for this one tonight. The game has little riding on it apart from pride after Bayern’s shock defeat to Rostov in the last round of fixtures handed Simeone’s men the group. Despite winning all five games, Atleti have only scored 7 goals so far in this campaign and with so little to play for for both sides we expect the 14/5 draw to be the best shout.

PSG v Ludogorets

PSG 1/6 need to overcome Ludogorets tonight to be crowned group winners. The Bulgarians have proven to be tricky customers this season but ultimately don’t have the quality to match a team of PSG’s power. A nervy start from the home side is not expected as they have scored 7 first half goals in their last eight games.

Benfica v Napoli

Probably the most exciting match of the evening with the game effectively serving as a play off for the last 16. The losers of this will be hoping for favours from Dynamo Kiev against Besiktas while the winners will be guaranteed top spot in group B. Napoli have struggled recently especially without the services of Arkadisz Milik. Benfica have only lost one home Champions League game in the last two years and are good value at 13/8.

What do you think?
