Wenger Out? Arsene 2/1 to leave The Gunners before next season

The Frenchman could be on his way out after over 20 years

Wenger in? Wenger out? It’s the hokey-pokey Arsenal fans have subjected themselves to for several seasons now.

This season – his 20th year as The Gunners’ boss – is the final year of his current contract, and is leaving plenty of question marks about what he will do next.

Speaking to Sky Sports at the start of this campaign, when asked whether this would be his last year, he said:

“You never know. In your job, this is a love story where you have to do [like] that it will last your whole life but, know as well, that it can stop at any moment.”

The statement was far from permanent, and new reports have set the rumour mill spinning once again.

The Sun reported that RB Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhuttl could be poised to take over Arsenal following Wenger’s departure.

Then, in his latest press conference, the Austrian appeared to confirm the truth in the sensational report.

He said: “It was a well-researched story. There was a lot of truth to it.

“I have heard of worse fates than succeeding the longest-serving manager in England.”

RB Leipzig are currently unbeaten and sit at the top of the Bundesliga, ahead of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

We make it 2/1 for Arsene Wenger to no longer be in charge of Arsenal by August 2017.

Eddie Howe 13/5 is currently favourite to take over from the long-standing manager, followed by Hasenhutti at 11/2 following The Sun’s reports.
