Hotshot Jackpot: Islam Slimani finds the net to land one Paddy Power punter a massive £250k

Remember remember the 5th of November - One punter certainly will as eight Premier League goalscorers helped him bag £250k in the Hotshot Jackpot

After correctly predicting eight Premier League goalscorers this weekend, one lucky Paddy Power punter from Nottingham has scooped £250k thanks to the Hotshot Jackpot – and it’s the third time Paddy Power has had to fork out the massive prize this season!

Not a bad windfall to scoop with little more than a month before Christmas!

And the punter has Leicester’s Islam Slimani to thank for bagging him the goal which sealed the deal.

There was a fair bit of luck involved, as FOUR of his eight selections benefited from a penalty being awarded. Jermain Defoe for Sunderland, Christian Benteke for Crystal Palace, Harry Kane for Tottenham and Charlie Austin all scored from the spot to put this punter in dreamland.

Elsewhere Bojan Krkic bagged for Stoke in their 1-1 draw against West Ham and Diego Costa found the onion bag for Chelsea in their 5-0 demolition of Everton at Stamford Bridge.

Those six scorers meant that going into the 3pm game at the Liberty Stadium between Swansea and Manchester United, this punter was six for six and two goals away from £250k. First up Jose Mourinho’s men put an end to the crisis talks and after Paul Pogba opened the scoring, Zlatan Ibrahimovic ended his eight-game drought in the league to delight fans of the Red Devils and this punter who was relying on Zlats to do the business.

That left a whopping FOUR Hotshot Jackpot players in with a chance of glory when Leicester went toe-to-toe with West Brom at the King Power Stadium. A nervy goalless first half probably didn’t do the lucky punter any favours, but Islam Slimani came good after 55 minutes to leave Paddy £250k poorer after the weekend!

The match finished 2-1 to West Brom, but as none of the remaining players had Baggies goalscroers James Morrison or Matthew Phillips, this one punter had the £250k all to himself. We tip our hat to you good sir. Here’s to a hell of a weekend.
