Yannick Bolasie destroyed the hopes of thousands of Jackpot punters last week, pulling a robbery on Romelu Lukaku to nick a goal and let down 75% of entrants. Harsh.
This week, we’ve got football ambassador Didi Hamann to select his eight anytime goalscorers, which can give you a steer on your way to £250,000.
MIDDLESBROUGH v BOURNEMOUTH: ALVARO NEGREDO
Middlesbrough held Arsenal to a 0-0 draw last weekend and they can beat Bournemouth at home. That result last week should have been a big morale boost for them, so it’s important they carry on that momentum. I’ve gotta go for Negredo here, he hasn’t scored for a few weeks now but it is just a matter of time for him. Bournemouth are on a decent unbeaten run, but go against the grain and go with ‘Boro to end the streak.
WATFORD v HULL: TROY DEENEY
You have got to go with the home-side here. Hull are in big trouble, and they won’t be able to keep a clean sheet against Watford. I’m going with Troy Deeney because he’s a penalty taker, but there’s probably two or three you could choose. This game is only going one way!
TOTTENHAM v LEICESTER: ERIK LAMELA
Neither side look particularly convincing as a betting prospect. Tottenham definitely have the edge over Leicester this season though, and I really like Lamela as a player. He had a pretty good game against Liverpool after coming on in the League Cup and won Spurs the penalty.
WEST BROM v MANCHESTER CITY: LEROY SANE
Pep is having a little hiccup at the moment, his side have failed to put away a few clear chances. Sane is a different matter, though. He’s a really talented young player and without him last week City would’ve been in trouble. He set up Kelechi Iheanacho’s equaliser and is getting into top gear quickly. It’s only a matter of time until he opens his account at City.
CRYSTAL PALACE v LIVERPOOL: CHRISTIAN BENTEKE
This one might come as a surprise, me not picking a Liverpool player. But I do really like Palace as a team and think they look pretty good this season. Benteke hit the bar against Leicester last week and had a decent header cleared off the line. It’s a shame it didn’t work out for him at Liverpool because he works hard and looks like a different person now he’s at Palace. He is a beast on his day and it will be interesting to see how the Liverpool defenders handle him!
EVERTON v WEST HAM: YANNICK BOLASIE
I’m sticking with Bolasie here. Romelu Lukaku and him have worked so well together this season and a lot of defenders focus their attention on Lukaku, giving Bolasie some space. He scored last week and he can nick another here!
SOUTHAMPTON v CHELSEA: EDEN HAZARD
That was such a huge win for Chelsea against United last week. They’ve had a run of decent results now and their confidence will be flying. Eden Hazard looks back to his best and it makes it impossible not to choose him. He bagged one against United and he can do the same against Saints.
STOKE v SWANSEA: MARKO ARNAUTOVIC
Stoke are coming good now after their issues at the start of the season. They will start to climb up the table. I’m not too sure what to make of Swansea or their manager at the moment, so it has got to be a Stoke player to find the net. Arnautovic had a couple of shots last week and performed well, so I’m going with him.
