Entries are flooding in for this week’s round, with punters confident they can do us over once again. With over half-a-million quid down in two weeks, we don’t blame them.
The pot is reset to £250,000 and football ambassador Didi Hamann is on hand to give his tips to land you the Jackpot!
BOURNEMOUTH V EVERTON: ROMELU LUKAKU
I can’t look past the Big Man, Romelu Lukaku. He is on a roll at the minute, he’s scored a couple of goals and his confidence is back. His team are also doing really well in the League, too. I think they will easily beat Bournemouth. It will be long until Ross Barkley comes knocking either, even though he hasn’t had the most amazing start to the season. I’ll be going for Lukaku but I would never put anyone off picking Barkley.
MIDDLESBROUGH V TOTTENHAM: CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN
It’s a little more difficult to predict a score here I think, Spurs are not the most high-scoring bunch and Middlesbrough defend pretty well. I would go with the penalty-taker here, with Harry Kane out injured that would fall to Christian Eriksen. Kane’s injury is a real blow, but I’m just not sure that ‘Boro have many goals in them anyway.
LIVERPOOL V HULL: ROBERTO FIRMINO
It has got to be a man in red to bag a goal in this match. I am going for Roberto Firmino, a player that is a lot better than people make out and is massively underrated. He has actually scored the most goals for Liverpool since Jurgen Klopp took over! I would say out of the attacking players they have got – Coutinho, Lallana and probably even Mane – he is the biggest goal threat.
STOKE V WEST BROM: WILFRIED BONY
Stoke are in real trouble at the moment, and West Brom looked to be struggling until that brilliant win against West Ham. Stoke will get a result soon, though and it will click for them. People are already questioning his job, but Mark Hughes usually makes his team difficult to play against and tough to get a result against. As we have all seen, Wilfried Bony can be pretty erratic but when he does get scoring he usually gets on a roll, and it will happen for him soon.
SWANSEA V MANCHESTER CITY: KEVIN DE BRUYNE
Aguero is back from his ban, which makes him difficult not to choose! Although you could definitely make a case for choosing Kevin De Bruyne, who is in sparkling form. He is scintillating to watch, and every time he touches the ball he seems to make something brilliant happen. You can’t go wrong with either of those two.
ARSENAL V CHELSEA: ALEX IWOBI
I really fancy Arsenal for this game, but it will be a tough game for them. Their flair players like Mesut Ozil tend to struggle against their tough back line, especially if John Terry is back. Alex Iwobi brings that physical presence, he is tough and fearless and a really talented kid. He can definitely make a big impact on this game.
WEST HAM V SOUTHAMPTON: DIMITRI PAYET
West Ham are all over the place at the moment. I don’t know if I will be backing them for this game, but when Payet is on the pitch, it only takes one chance to get a goal. One free-kick from 25-yards and he can score and make it look easy. He is the obvious choice here, and has the potential to make a goal from absolutely nothing.
BURNLEY V WATFORD: ODION IGHALO
Watford were really impressive last week against Manchester United. United looked really poor, but you have to give credit to The Hornets for a great performance. You can take your pick out of the centre-forwards here. Troy Deeney takes penalties like we saw against United, and although Odion Ighalo had a bad miss, it is unlikely he will miss many like that again. He is a handful and all he needs is one chance, hopefully that chance will come against Burnley and land me £250k!
