Real need to bounce back or else they're out of the title race
La Liga expert Graham Hunter gives us the lowdown on this weekend's La Liga
It’s been a turbulent week in La Liga with the fallout of the Madrid derby, Gary Neville bouncing back from criticism, and big money moves being discussed about some of the divisions top strikers. But I’ve had a look around the grounds, talked to a few people, and managed to pick out a nice 39/1 treble from this week’s action.
Eibar vs Barcelona – Sunday 3pm – Live on Sky
I was at the Barcelona training camp during the week and it’s not surprising to see why they are so successful when you look at the work they do . They sometimes struggle against the smaller teams though.
Borja Baston has 16 goals in 20 games, and managed to score away against the Catalans, so he could do it again. Three games in a week will mean that Luis Enrique could give a couple of top names a break.
But Barca have the quality to win even with a few players rested. Draw at HT/Barca at FT at is my tip.
Real Madrid vs Celta – LIVE on Paddy Power
For the first time since taking over, Zinedine Zidane is under a little bit of pressure. The unacceptable defeat in the derby last week at home brought up rumors in the papers mid week about his replacement. Celta visit them this Saturday minus Nolito and without a win in the Spanish capital for a decade. If Gareth Bale starts – back him to score and Madrid to win at. But keep an eye on the team selection.

Valencia vs Atletico Madrid – Sunday 19:30 – Live on Sky
Gary Neville is finally getting his side together and they’re starting to win games. Unfortunately, they’re hosting a hot firing Atleti on Sunday evening on Sky Sports 2.
Diego Simeone’s team were dominant in the derby last weekend. They’ll still have Barcelona in their sights, and they will want to be in prime position if the Catalans slip up. I’m tipping Antoine Griezmann to open the scoring on Sunday at – just like he did in the derby.
