20.00: Seattle Sounders v LAFC – Seattle Sounders to Win

Seattle Sounds are powering up the Western Conference after what had been a less-than-satisfactory April and May in all competitions. Over their five most recent league encounters they’ve taken 12 points from 15 winning four and losing one with their form at Lumen Field also seeing them winning four and losing one, scoring 12 and conceding five.

LAFC have won just two of their last five fixtures in all competitions, winning two, drawing one and losing two over their last five in the MLS. Their away form is decent though with three wins and two losses but have only come away from Seattle with one win over their last seven visits to the north-west. Getting the home side still above Evens is a great price with them in such flying form again.

22.00: LA Galaxy v Portland Timbers – LA Galaxy to Win

Galaxy are short-odds to take the three points here but neither side come into this clash in the best of shape. The hosts have won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five while over their recent MLS games share the same stats. At the Dignity Health Sports Park (possibly the worst-named MLS ground) they’ve won three and lost two, scoring eight and conceding eight with Over 2.5 goals landing in four of those five matches.

Portland are having a tough season and have won just three of their 15 MLS games so far, winning just one of their last five, drawing one and losing three while on their away trips have drawn two and lost three, scoring four and conceding eight. With the Timbers in such dire form the value is with the home side here.

00.00: New York Red Bulls v Toronto FC – New York to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

The Bulls haven’t had things going their way over recent weeks, winning just one of their last five MLS encounters, drawing two and losing two. At the RB Arena they’ve won one of their last five, drawing three and losing one. Two of those draws did however see them fighting back to rescue a point in the closing stages.

Toronto have only won four of their 14 MLS fixtures this season, winning just one of their last five in the league, drawing one and losing three. Away from home they’ve so far won none of their away league clashes, drawing two and losing three of their last five, scoring eight and conceding 12. With the hosts scoring nine over their last five and Toronto scoring and conceding plenty of late we should see a few goals here and the hosts should finally add another home win to their tally against a side low on confidence. We’re backing New York to Win here and Over 2.5 Goals.

00.30: Philadelphia Union v Cincinnati – Cincinnati or Draw

Philadelphia have been drawing far too many games of late, their last seven MLS games have seen them drawing six and winning one. At the Subaru Park they’ve won two and drawn all three of their most previous home league encounters. Cincinnati have won three and lost two of their last five in league competition and have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five on the road.

The market is backing a home win here but Union’s propensity for drawing games means we can’t give them the nod; add into this the fact that the away side have lost just one of their last five away games the value here is in opposing the hosts on the Double Chance market. Cincinnati or Draw has the value here.

01.00: Chicago Fire v DC United – Both Teams to Score

The bottom two Eastern Conference sides clash here with both desperate to get some points on the board. Fire have won none of their last 10 in all competitions and over their last five in the league have drawn one and lost four while on home turf have won one, drawn two and lost two, scoring five and conceding five as well.

DC have won one of their last five in the MLS, drawing two and losing two and on their trips away from the capital have won one, drawn one and lost three, scoring eight and conceding six. Based on goals you’d be tempted to go for the away team here but they’ve not won here since 2015 and with just one win over their last five we’d not be confident of that coming in. We have however seen Over 2.5 goals landing in seven of the last 10 combined home/away games for both teams and with both scoring and conceding a decent amount of late the best value here is in backing goals. Overs looks like a good shout at 4/5 but to take out some insurance should it end 1-1, we’re backing Both Teams to Score.
