With the Nations League going into hibernation until mid-autumn we return to league football in our quest for finding value in the betting markets. We’re huge fans of the summer leagues here and we’ve piled over the stats for Wednesday night’s fixtures and found a four-fold Acca from the MLS, Argentina’s Superliga and Brazil’s Serie A. Let’s have a look then at what we’ve turned up in the markets.

Thursday 12.30am: New England vs Orlando – BTTS

TV: FreeSports

New England have won two of their last five fixtures, drawing the other three and losing one of them in Extra Time yet over their last six MLS games are unbeaten, winning three and drawing three. On home turf in the league, they’ve won two, drawn two and lost one, scoring seven and conceding five.

Orlando have won three, drawn two (winning one on penalties) and lost one over their last five fixtures in all competitions while in the league have won two, drawn one and lost two and on the road share the same record having scored and conceded seven on their recent excursions.

The Revs have won four of the last five clashes between the sides at the Gillette Stadium and while they’re favourites here they’re drawing too many games for us to give them the nod. With both teams scoring and conceding plenty of late the value here is in backing Both Teams To Score.

Thursday 1.30am: Boca Juniors vs Tigre – Boca to Win

Boca Junior’s overall form is quite good yet their league form has them starting with a win and a loss. Of their last five games in all competitions they’ve won four and lost one and have won three, drawn two (winning one on penalties) and lost one over their last five Superliga encounters. At La Bombonera they’re unbeaten over their last eight league fixtures and have won four of their last five, drawing the other, winning it on penalties and kept four clean sheets over those five clashes.

Tigre have won two of their last five matches, drawing two (winning one on penalties) and losing one. Away from home they’ve won two and lost three. While this is a Buenos Aires derby it’s nothing of the like played between Boca and River Plate and Los Xeneizes have won all eight of their most recent meetings here against the away side in competitive matches. With their superior home form to back them up we’re backing the hosts to take the three points.

Thursday 1.30am: America vs Fluminense – America to Win

Both sides have taken a few hard knocks of late with the hosts winning just one of their last five in all competitions, drawing one and losing three with the visitors winning two and losing three. On home turf in the Serie A, a Coelho have won three of their last five, drawing one and losing two, scoring six and conceding six but have won this fixture in three of the last five meetings, losing one and one ending with honours shared.

Fluminense’s league form is the same as their overall form of two wins and three losses while on their league travels the Tricolor Flu Fluzao have won two, drawn one and lost one, scoring five and conceding five. The host’s home form should stand to them here, they’ve only lost one of their last 10 at home in the Serie A and with the visitors scoring just six away goals over their last 10 in the league we’re siding with America MG to Win here.

Thursday 1.30am: Athletico PR vs Corinthians – BTTS

Sitting in second position in the league after 11 games, Vitor Pereira’s Corinthians are looking well to challenge this season. The former Porto manager has seen his side winning six, drawing three and losing two over their 11 league games to date. The hosts will be a stern test though as they’re unbeaten over their last seven in all competitions, winning five and drawing two and their home league form has seen them winning three, drawing one and losing one.

The away side have won two, drawn two and lost one over their five most previous Serie A encounters and have won two, drawn one and lost two over their last five away from home, scoring four and conceding six, while the hosts have scored six and conceded four over their last five on home soil. With both sides scoring and conceding consistently of late we see plenty of value in Both Teams to Score.
