We have two huge play-off finals lined up for our Value Football Acca on Monday night. Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin are seeking to keep their place in Germany’s top flight next season against a Hamburger SV side who hold a 1-0 aggregate lead from the first leg.

In Scotland, Premiership side St Johnstone are 2-2 on aggregate with Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle who are in the better form of the pair going into the second leg. In Ireland we have one of the biggest Dublin derbies of the season as St Patrick’s Athletic take on bitter rivals Bohemians and second-from-bottom Finn Harps take on a Dundalk side who are enjoying a great run of form of late.

19:30 Hamburg vs Hertha Berlin: Hamburger to Win

TV: Sky Sports Mix

Hamburg deserved their 1-0 win in last week’s first leg in Berlin and will be confident of returning to the Bundesliga once the final whistle comes here. They’ve won all of their last five fixtures while their opponents have won just one of their last five, drawing one and losing three.

At the Volksparkstadion, the hosts have won three of their last five, losing the other two, scoring 11 and conceding six with Over 2.5 goals occurring in all five. Hertha have also won just one on their league travels, drawing one and losing three, scoring four and conceding seven, with Over 2.5 goals landing in two. Hertha will have to put up a better fight here and need at least a goal from the get-go.

The hosts only conceded 1.0 goals per home league game this season and their scoring record of 2.12 per home game means we have to take the value price on the home side here. Hamburg to win.

19.45 St Patrick’s vs Bohemians: Both Teams to Score

One of the most eagerly-awaited fixtures for both sets of fans. Form tends to go out the window here and honours have been evenly shared over recent head-to-head games at Richmond Park where both Pats and Bohs have won one each with three ending level; Over 2.5 goals has landed in three of those games and Both Teams to Score landing in four.

The hosts have won just one of their last five in the league, drawing two and losing two and share the same record at home. Meanwhile, the side crossing the Liffey southwards have won two, drawn one and lost two over their last five in the league while on the road have won two, drawn two and lost one. T

ough to pick a winner here; both teams are pretty much neck-and-neck in their league positions and either side is certainly good enough to beat the other. Both Teams to Score is the best option for this one.

19.45 St Johnstone vs Inverness: Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: Sky Sports Football & Sky Sports Main Event

St Johnstone’s recent results won’t be filling their fans with much confidence going into this make-or-break playoff final. The Saints have won just one of their last five, drawing two and losing two while their Championship opponents have won three and drawn two (winning one on penalties).

At home though things are much better for the hosts where they’ve won three and lost two of their last five fixtures, scoring four and conceding three. It’s a similar story for the Caley Jags who haven’t been as strong on the road but have won two, drawn two (winning one on penalties) and lost one, scoring six and conceding five.

Both teams should get on the scoresheet here again but with so much at stake this has the feel of being an end-to-end battle to the final kick and we see at least a third goal here. We’re backing Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals

20.00 Finn Harps vs Dundalk: Dundalk to Win

We might be stating the obvious here but Finn Harps are in for a long, long season if they can’t get their act together soon. The Donegal side have won a total of two of their 16 league games so far and of their last five have won just one, losing all of the others. At Finn Park they’ve taken just four points from a possible 15 over their last five games, winning one, drawing one and losing three, scoring four and conceding six.

Dundalk are in mighty form of late, winning five of their last seven fixtures, drawing one and losing one in all competitions while in the league they’ve won four and drawn of their last five. Away from home, things aren’t so good though where they’ve won just one of their last five, drawing two and losing two.

While that away form looks bad their recent overall form has shown they’ve turned a corner as a unit and might even be coming back to their best. Dundalk should take the three points here against an out-of-sorts and low-on-confidence home side. Dundalk to win.
