The Women’s Super League season draws to a close this weekend and it’s been a thriller. However, there’s still plenty to play for. Chelsea and Arsenal are battling for the title, while Manchester United and Manchester City are fighting to finish in the top three.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Birmingham City, meanwhile, look destined for relegation unless there’s a dramatic point swing. We’ve got two games to get out teeth into on Wednesday night and they’ll both have ramifications at the top and the bottom of the WSL. Here’s our double!

7pm: Man City v Birmingham City – Man City -3

First up is Man City v Birmingham, which sees fourth host bottom. This fixture is City’s game in hand on their arch rivals Manchester United in the battle to finish third. City are just one point behind United so a win would put them in the driving seat heading into Sunday’s finale.

City are in sensational form, having won their last 11 games in all competitions and they know the importance of this one. Their last defeat came against top of the table Chelsea back in February.

As for Birmingham, it’s a must-win for Darren Carter’s side if they want to stay up. They’re doomed unless they win both of their remaining games and Leicester lose on Sunday.

We’re fully expecting a dominating Man City victory on Wednesday night. City have scored 50 goals in 20 games this season, while Birmingham have the second-worst defence in the WSL after conceding 45 times this campaign. The odds on a City win aren’t ideal so we’re going with Man City -3 on the Handicap Betting.

7:15pm: Arsenal v Tottenham – Arsenal -2

Next up is a north London derby as Arsenal host Tottenham. There’s nothing on the line for Spurs apart from having the chance to derail Arsenal’s title push. The Gunners are four points behind Chelsea at the top of the league and this is their game in hand.

Jonas Eidevall’s side will be well aware of the consequences if they don’t win and they’ll be desperate to stamp their authority on their rivals on Wednesday night.

Arsenal are flying and have won their last six WSL games, including a 7-0 demolition of Aston Villa last weekend. The Gunners have won by two or more goals in their last six league fixtures.

We’re fully expecting that trend to continue against Tottenham, who are fifth in the league with nothing to play for. Arsenal -2 on the Handicap Betting is a smart play.

Wednesday Football Tips:

7:15pm: Arsenal v Tottenham – Arsenal -2
