Manchester City and Real Madrid played out a thrilling contest that ended 4-3 to the Premier League side last week in their Champions League semi final first leg. Paddy Power ambassador and Liverpool legend Phil Thompson is back and licking his lips as we get ready to do it all over again on Wednesday night.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
Will it be another goal fest or will these two play it a bit safer? Let’s see what Thommo thinks. Here’s his Real Madrid v Manchester City tips.
Real Madrid v Manchester City
UEFA Champions League semi-final, 2nd leg
BT Sport 2, 8pm
The first leg was one of the great Champions League ties and Manchester City will feel they should have this tie sown up. How they didn’t score six or seven goals was astonishing.
I don’t think they’ll give up as many chances in this tie and should have their defensive unit a lot more solid. They’ve scored eight goals in their last two games (against Real Madid and Leeds), so we know that they’re a huge threat going forward against any team.
They’ve a goal lead at 4-3 in this tie so there’s no need for them to take unnecessary risks. I can see City beating Madrid 2-1 on their home turf.
Kevin De Bruyne will have a huge impact on the game and was sensational in the first half last week. De Bruyne looks a solid play to Score Anytime against Los Blancos.
It will be nerve-wracking for City fans as a potential final with Liverpool awaits but they should have enough to get the job done.
Real Madrid v Man City betting tips:
Man City to win 2-1
Kevin De Bruyne to score anytime
