Sunday night’s football has some real humdingers lined up for us and we’ve gone deep into the stats and form of all the fixtures on offer to find a four-fold Acca that’s brimming with value. We’ll be looking at Marseille taking on Lyon in Ligue 1 and Roma facing Bologna in the Serie A.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

In La Liga, Barcelona entertain Mallorca at the Nou Camp and finally we’ll be looking at Sporting taking on Gil Vicente in Portugal’s Primeira Liga. Let’s see where the value lies.

7.45pm: Marseille vs Lyon – Both Teams to Score

TV: BT Sport 2

Marseille have won three and lost two of their last five fixtures in all competitions. Their league form is better with four wins and one loss to their name while at the Stade Velodrome have won three and lost two of their last five Ligue 1 clashes.

Lyon have won two, drawn one and lost two over their last five across all competitions while their league form has seen them winning three, drawing one and losing one and on their away league jaunts have won just one, drawing three and losing one. Over their five most recent meetings at the Velodrome Marseille have won one, Lyon two, and two have ended level with Marseille winning one in extra time.

The market is siding with the hosts here but Lyon can never really be dismissed and their results here have been decent. Both Teams to Score has landed in four of their last five meetings here and, with both scoring seven over their last five home/away games, sticking with Both Teams to Score is the most likely bet to land here.

7.45pm: AS Roma vs Bologna – Roma Win & Over 2.5 Goals

TV: BT Sport 1

Roma have won two of their last five games in all competitions, drawing two and losing one. Their Serie A form is a little better with three wins, one draw and one loss, scoring eight and conceding five. At home they are undefeated over their last six, winning four and drawing two, scoring nine and conceding just three.

Bologna are undefeated over their last five in the Serie A, winning two and drawing three and on their league excursions have drawn three and lost two. We’ve seen Over 2.5 goals landing in three of Roma’s last five and, with them in good form against a Rossoblu side who aren’t winning on the road, we’d have to side with Jose Mourinho’s side here.

However, the visitors have proven very tough to beat and have scored seven over their last five so should draw some blood here. With Roma scoring at least two in three of their last five at home and three of their last five at home to Bologna we’re getting some decent odds here for Roma to Win and Over 2.5 Goals landing again.

Xavi Barcelona

8pm: Barcelona vs Mallorca: Barcelona to Win to Nil

TV: LaLigaTV

Barcelona’s form has taken a bit of a dive of late, the Catalans have won just two of their last five, losing the other three. Their La Liga form is a bit better where they’ve won three and lost two while at the Nou Camp they share the same results. Mallorca have won two and lost three of their last five fixtures but their away form is absolutely terrible, losing all eight of their most previous away La Liga encounters.

Over those eight away games they only managed to score in three of those fixtures and indeed, have failed to score in three of their last six visits to face Barca. The hosts have kept three clean sheets over their last five at home in La Liga too which means we’re getting some very good value odds here in backing Barcelona to Win to Nil here.

8.30pm: Sporting vs Gil Vicente: Sporting (-1)

Sporting are short-odds favourites to win here and while the title race could more or less be decided before this game kicks off they’ll still be eager to stay as close to Porto above them as possible. Their league form is incredibly strong, winning six of their last seven, losing the other one, while at the Estadio Jose Alvalade they’ve won eight of their last 10 in league competition, losing the other two, scoring nine and conceding just two over their last five.

Gil Vicente have failed to win any of their five most previous fixtures, their away form is better though with two wins, two draws and one loss. However, when travelling the 30 minutes north from Barcelos they’ve only managed to beat the hosts in one of their last 10 encounters, a cup match in 2012. Sporting should win this at a canter and in winning four of their last five at home by at least a two-goal margin we’re going with the value here in the Sporting (-1) Handicap market.
